Wendy Borislavsky

Clinical Psychologist

Wendy is a trained educator and clinical psychologist with a focus on bariatric psychology and specialising in adult chronic pain management. Wendy is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Wendy’s has previously worked in the public health sector. Her professional roles include the assessment and treatment of chronic pain presentations at the Gold Coast Persistent Pain Centre and coordinating psychological treatment programs at the Lismore Multidisciplinary Pain Clinic. She was formally trained in pain management at the Royal North Shore Pain Clinic in Sydney.

Wendy has a keen clinical interest in the field of bariatric surgery. She completed her Master’s Dissertation on the Psychological Effects of Patients undergoing Gastric Band surgery versus Gastric Sleeve surgery. Her research was selected and presented at the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders Conference in Istanbul, Turkey in 2012. Wendy is also a member of the Australian and New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Society Psychologist Interest Group and the Psychology, Eating, Weight and Body Image Interest Group. She is enthusiastic and passionate about making lasting change on the mental wellbeing her patients.

Wendy has completed both an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Education at Edith Cowan University, a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours at Curtin University and a Masters in Clinical Psychology at Bond University.
